Elevating the Game: Crafting ATP's Modular Live Scores Platform

We spearheaded the 'built in-flight' redesign of the ATP website, collaborating closely with stakeholders and utilising Figma to create a modular live scores platform and design system.

Strategy

This redesign aims to refresh the ATP website and introduce a dynamic, more cohesive, frictionless live scores user experience, an integrated design system, setting the stage for sustained growth, elevated fan satisfaction, a coherent brand online presence and embed the ATP as a global No. 1 leader for Tennis-associated content.

First, we built a custom new mobile-first modular website platform based on fundamental UI/UX principles. This platform included an upgraded live score integration, data-driven stats, sponsorship placement and ad inventory. These elements were embedded within a comprehensive tokenised design system, creating light and dark modes within a reduced UI library for much-improved consistency, performance and product development.

Challenge

The ATP website faces the challenge of harmonising UI and UX, brand consistency, and commercial opportunity. This involves addressing user and business pain points like performance, compatibility issues, legacy systems and processes, bloated UI inventory, and live scoring possibilities while balancing commercial goals for monetisation, scalability and future growth.

"The revamped UI/UX ensures easy exploration, addressing past user experience challenges. With an updated look and feel and improved functionality, our website reflects our latest product strategy and offers flexibility for future growth."
